Dokkyo Medical University Nikko Medical Center was opened on April 1, 2006, by taking over the management of Keihai Rosai Hospital from the independent administrative agency Japan Labour Health and Welfare Organization. Having restructured the medical functions to meet the needs of acute cases, Nikko Medical Center aims to provide advanced high-quality medical care to the community.
Nikko Medical Center also plays an active part in the rotation system of secondary emergency hospitals in Nikko and its surrounding areas.
Additionally, it contributes to medical care in remote rural areas by supporting Nikko City Miyori Clinic with the designated manager system.
Nikko Medical Center intends to make further efforts to provide better medical service to the patients and play a central part in providing coordinated medical care to the community in cooperation with the local medical association.
