Message from the Head of the Department

      Our department was established in June 2011 and is one of the largest in the eastern Saitama medical area for neurological diseases. At the intersection of the Tobu Sky Tree Line and the JR Musashino Line, many patients from the eastern Saitama medical zone to Adachi-ku, Tokyo visit the hospital. We are engaged in medical care for all neurological diseases such as cerebrovascular disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, dementia, neuroinfectious diseases, neuroimmune diseases, and sleep-related diseases. Furthermore, the Koshigaya Clinic plays a part in preventive medical care using a “brain dock”.

Activities

1. Clinical

  • Acute treatment for cerebrovascular disorders, immunotherapy for immune neurological disorders (high-dose steroid therapy, high-dose immunoglobulin therapy, blood purification therapy), and ventilator management in severe cases are used in combination to improve functional prognosis and life prognosis. We also diagnose intractable neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease and determine treatment.

2. Research

  • Clinical research on sleep-related disorders related to neurological diseases from the viewpoint of sleep medicine.
  • Clinical research on neurotherapeutic science such as Parkinson's disease, stroke, dementia, and neuroimmune disorders.
