Message from the Head of the Office

     Welcome to fundamental nursing, the students will learn the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to understand people at all levels of health and to provide the best possible support for a healthier and more prosperous life. Through discussions, you will learn the basic ideas about nursing, concepts about humans, environment, health, and nursing, the history and transition of nursing, and think about what the students can do for future nursing. In addition, we aim to teach students to acquire basic nursing skills as a life supporter through an exercise format that introduces active learning to promote independent learning.

Education (Subjects)

1. Principles of Nursing

It is positioned as an introductory course in nursing practice that academically captures the concept of nursing, "what is nursing?" Students will learn the basic knowledge of nursing practice, such as the essence of nursing, the role and function of nursing, and the methodology of nursing. In addition, students will learn about the possibilities and responsibilities of the nursing profession while tracing the transition of nursing, and motivate the learning of nursing practice as a whole to develop in the future.

2.  Basic Nursing Skills(Assistance with Self-Care)

Activities of daily living are hindered in order to protect life (safety), support daily life (comfort), respect the person (independence), and realize a state in which people are maximizing their potential. Students will learn the basic assistive technology based on the scientific basis for the subject.

3. Nursing Theories

Students will learn about nursing theory as the basis of nursing perspectives and ways of thinking, and learn how to apply the theoretical content of representative theorists to nursing practice.

4.  Basic Nursing Skills (Medical Examination and Treatment)

Students will learn infection prevention techniques common to various assistance situations and basic assistance techniques based on scientific evidence for subjects in the process of diagnosis and treatment.

5. Fundamentals of Nursing Practicum Ⅰ

Students will learn the basics of forming a patient-nurse relationship while observing the daily life support provided to the subject in the medical treatment stage and the support associated with diagnosis and treatment, and thinking about the relationship that respects the will and rights of the person. Acquire abilities.

6. Nursing Process

Students will learn the problem-solving process to identify the living needs and problems of people with health problems and disabilities and to provide accurate nursing assistance to help them.

7. Physical Assessment

Students will learn mainly physical assessment, which is an assessment of the body, physical assessment techniques based on anatomical and physiological knowledge, psychological and social assessments, and family and cultural assessments, and comprehensively learn the health assessment techniques of the subject.

8. Fundamentals of Nursing Practicum Ⅱ

Students will receive inpatients with health problems and develop the nursing process. By practicing and assisting along the nursing process, students understand the subject of nursing as an integrated body and practice the necessary and appropriate nursing for that person.

Social Activities

     Nursing Education Center for Community Collaboration: Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Nursing. The purpose is to constructively and freely exchange opinions on the nursing research that we are currently working on or are about to work on, and to use it as a source of promotion for our own nursing research. We provide research consultations, research reports, and basic SPSS operation exercises.
