Message from the Head of the Department

Our vision is “to play the leading role of education and research in child health nursing locally and globally." Our mission is "to communicate and collaborate with child health care professionals and non-professionals, and to contribute locally and global"

Activities

1. Research

Our research focuses on children’s health and nursing care for children and their families.

2.Social contribution

Child Health Nursing Career Support "ChilD"
We create a place to connect undergraduate nursing students who are interested in pediatric nursing with nurses who work in pediatric healthcare, and to hold learning sessions for information exchange.

Summer Camp for children with allergies
The Pediatrics Department of DMU holds an annual camp for children with allergies in August. It provides children with valuable opportunities to learn about allergies and interact with peers who share similar conditions. We participate and support the activity from the perspective of nursing.

Support group for sick children and their families "Tsubomi"
A support group for sick children, their families, and parents who have lost their children. It provides a space to process emotions by talking and sharing with others who have had similar experiences. We make several goods, such as Christmas wreaths, for hospitalized children. We participate in events related to childhood cancer.

Support group for families with multiple births "With Twins"
We hold events for families with multiple births to promote communication and information exchange. At these events, medical and nursing students provide activities that children can enjoy. We also hold seasonal events such as Halloween and Christmas.
