      Based on the educational philosophy of Dokkyo Medical University, the Center for Education Support will carry out the following activities with the aim of contributing to the improvement and development of education, research and medical care activities at the university and its affiliated medical education facilities.

Division for Community-Based Medical Education
Head: Yuichi Chigusa, MD, PhD

     Division for Community-Based Medical Education conducts education and research in the field of community health care in collaboration with local medical, health and welfare facilities, and government agencies. The main purpose is to foster the professionalism of medical students through practical training in the local community. As a familiar presence to the local residents, we are working to make the students independently learn the importance of actively conducting health education and building a comprehensive community care system through multidisciplinary collaboration.

Division for National Qualification

     Support for various issues not only in academics but also in student life toward the acquisition of national qualifications for doctors, nurses, public health nurses, and midwives.

Division for Medical and Nursing Education
 Head: Kiyoshi Kitamura, MD, PhD
     We mainly provide educational support in the School of Medicine and Nursing and academic research support related to medical education and nursing education. A medical education seminar is scheduled to be held every other month. At medical education seminars, in addition to recent ideas and techniques related to medical education, we sometimes invite outside lecturers to give lectures, and also discuss the evaluation of educational programs.
